SEO Strategist

Responsibilities:

Job Overview: 

This role owns SEO end-to-end across all client accounts. The specialist plans, executes, and maintains comprehensive SEO programs with a strong technical foundation, strategic thinking, and disciplined operational execution. They manage multiple B2B, industrial, and service-based SEO accounts simultaneously, delivering consistent results with precision, speed, and autonomy. The role operates within the existing tech stack (Asana, AgencyAnalytics, WordPress, GA4, GSC, Slack) and upholds a no-fluff, strategy-first approach to search performance and optimization.****  

  • Technical SEO Ownership 
    • Conduct full technical audits for each client using industry-standard tools 
    • Identify and fix or delegate issues with indexing, crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, 404 mapping, schema, sitemaps, robots.txt, and redirects 
    • Ensure SEO compliance with ADA, CCPA, GDPR, and local regulations 
    • Oversee internal linking strategies and optimize site architecture

     

  • Keyword Strategy & Topical Mapping 
    • Build keyword maps aligned with client ICPs, intent tiers, and revenue goals 
    • Develop topical authority plans for service clusters, city pages, and bottom-funnel keywords 
    • Conduct keyword difficulty and opportunity analyses to guide content creation

     

  • On-Page Optimization 
    • Rewrite or optimize service pages, blog posts, metadata, headers, and schema 
    • Implement conversion-driven SEO copy to support CRO 
    • Suggest layout improvements aligned with SEO and UX best practices

     

  • Content Program Management 
    • Collaborate with writers or AI-assisted workflows to produce consistent content 
    • Create briefs, outlines, and optimization checklists for all content pieces 
    • Ensure every content piece is internally linked, tracked, optimized, and measured

     

  • Local SEO & Google Business Profile 
    • Set up and optimize GBP, including categories, services, posts, and review strategies 
    • Build GeoGrid plans, track monthly improvements, and provide client updates 
    • Execute citation audits, NAP consistency checks, and local landing page enhancements

     

  • Analytics, Reporting, & Insights 
    • Manage GA4, GSC, Looker Studio dashboards, and AgencyAnalytics integrations 
    • Deliver concise, client-facing monthly insights highlighting results and trends 
    • Identify ranking threats early and develop proactive remediation plans

     

  • Client Communication & Project Management 
    • Attend client check-ins as needed 
    • Communicate clearly, concisely, and without jargon 
    • Manage tasks in Asana and maintain thorough documentation of work

     

  • Copywriting & Content Support 
    • Draft, edit, or polish internal and client-facing content following a clear, on-brand style 
    • Produce first drafts for blog outlines, short-form SEO updates, and GBP posts 
    • Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, formatting, and messaging 
    • Prepare copy drafts for finalization when tone precision is required

     

  • JavaScript SEO & Rendering Troubleshooting 
    • Diagnose and resolve issues caused by script-heavy themes, builders, or dynamic content 
    • Ensure Google can render, index, and understand all page elements 
    • Fix hydration errors, lazy loading issues, and blocked JS resources

     

  • Schema & Entity SEO 
    • Build custom JSON-LD for services, products, FAQs, reviews, and industrial content 
    • Strengthen entity signals to help Google understand expertise and offerings 
    • Implement schema clusters to support AEO and featured snippet opportunities

     

  • Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) 
    • Structure pages for AI search systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews 
    • Add answer-ready blocks, semantic formatting, and entity-focused content 
    • Improve visibility in conversational and featured snippet results

 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years hands-on SEO experience, including site migrations, technical audits, and repairs 
  • Expertise in WordPress, GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, AgencyAnalytics, and Local SEO (GBP, multi-city strategies) 
  • Skilled in site speed optimization, Core Web Vitals, and conversion-driven SEO copy 
  • Ability to build 90-day SEO plans, prioritize high-leverage actions, and integrate SEO into AI-driven workflows 
  • Highly structured, proactive, and detail-oriented; works well in fast-moving environments 
  • Strong, clear communication with low ego and high ownership mentality 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable SEO results, including ranking growth, organic traffic, conversions, and client satisfaction 
  • Maintains clean documentation, SOPs, checklists, and workflows 
  • Adaptable to Google updates and professional under client escalations
