Learning Resources wanted to launch their new Beaker Creatures collectibles with a bang. They needed to generate excitement and anticipation for the collectibles through an engaging commercial.
Solution
An animated video commercial featuring enthusiastic creatures unveiling a surprise creature. This was to capture the wonder and surprise of the Beaker Creatures experience.
Beaker Creatures
The client’s Beaker Creatures toy line incorporates STEM learning into fun “alien” collectibles. The adorable creatures are hidden inside dissolvable pods, adding an exciting science experiment element to the reveal. When the pod is submerged in water, the shell fizzes away and a unique collectible emerges.
Process
Working with the client’s script, our team got to storyboarding and plotting the scenes for the one-and-a-half-minute video. Keeping everything in-house, we brought the commercial to life through a vibrant 2D art style and cute and expressive character designs and animation. A high-energy voiceover was added to perfectly narrate the out-of-this-world tale of the Beaker Creatures.
Result
The final product was a resounding success, garnering hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and effectively building anticipation for the launch of the new Beaker Creatures collectible.
