Blog Remembering Miles

Milagros “Miles” Nepomuceno, former President and COO of RipeConcepts, was singular in character, drive, and passion.

Miles came into the picture during RipeConcepts’ roughest years. There wasn’t a blueprint for the kind of company that Founder and CEO Paul set out to build, and finding someone capable and brave enough to help him execute a vision of that scale was proving nearly impossible. He had spoken to many candidates and was close to giving up when he met Miles—chemical engineering background, MBA, a career in tech going back to the ‘90s, sharp, witty, with a wicked sense of humor and impeccable taste. A natural born leader and renaissance woman, by any measure.

Miles would go on to be part of RipeConcepts for 13 of its 17 years, fiercely getting the company on its feet, seeing it through rapid expansion, a global pandemic, natural disasters, and its historic acquisition by Nagarro. Through it all, she led with conviction, never settling for less. Those who worked with her knew her as someone who held the bar incredibly high. She pushed her people to move mountains before they even knew they could. Her style was tough love, earning her the endearing nickname, Mother Miles.

Few things were as anticipated at a company event as Mother Miles’ grand entrance. Dressed to the nines and committed to the theme, she showed up the same way she did everything else: completely locked in. At the 2025 year-end party, her last with us, she spoke about the next generation of leaders she had helped develop, describing the experience as teaching them how to fly, but more emphatically, “fly in formation.” It was a fitting image for someone who led with discipline, but always made room for people to grow. Her legacy is not written in milestones alone, but in every person who found their footing, voice, and courage under her watch, and who will carry those lessons forward for years to come.

Thank you, Mother Miles, for showing us brilliance, fearlessness, mentorship, friendship, and love. You will be deeply missed. Rest well.
