When the digital geeks of RipeConcepts let their hair down after a year of challenges and triumphs, they know how to throw an unforgettable party. The 2024 year-end celebration was themed “Midnight Couture”, an evening of elegance, craftsmanship, and all things beautiful. Held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City in December, the event brought together hundreds of the RipeCrew, all dressed to the nines.
Tastes were elevated, and everyone understood the assignment. The inspiration for the partygoers’ eveningwear varied from fashion icons to unique do-it-yourself creations. The lady and gentleman deemed best dressed of the night were resplendent in a fully beaded ball gown in a deep shade of blue and a dramatic suit with cape and leather accoutrements, respectively.
Looking to the Past and to the Future
At the event, Founder Paul Lyon gave a rousing speech about the future of the company, and paid homage to President Miles Nepomuceno for being a steadfast business partner for over a decade. Longtime employees were also commended for their years of service, some of whom have been with the company since the very beginning nearly sixteen years ago.
In between commending RipeConcepts’ most loyal employees, there was live music played. Some of it was performed by colleagues who absolutely rocked with classic and contemporary hits. Meanwhile, laughter filled the grand ballroom when one team demonstrated their dance skills and comedic timing.
Surprise Guests
There was a heartwarming moment when the President Miles’ family, particularly her baby granddaughter, made a surprise appearance. Later in the program, it was Dedicated Staffing VP Al Hadessa Lim’s turn to be surprised, as her boyfriend arrived and popped the question. Amid cheers and applause, she said yes!
The soirée was a testament to RipeConcepts’ commitment to creating a supportive work environment, where employees are not just colleagues, but members of a close-knit family. This Christmas party provided an opportunity for everyone to come together and revel in the company’s successes and the holiday spirit. In President Miles’ words, in all her time at RipeConcepts, this was “the best party ever.” What a way to cap 2024!
